Hello! I have one cat right now named Sammy. We adopted him from a shelter 3 years ago, he's about 5 years old. He's the best cat I've ever owned!

Hi Samantha,

Cats are cool aren't they? Welcome to the boards and tell us more about your cat.

save the picture onto your computer...
click on reply to make your post...
at the bottom of your post their will be a browse button...
click the browse button and select the photo from where you saved it..
and thats it...
if itdoesn't work you will need to resize your photo more than likely.

Hi!!! Even if you don't know how to upload a photo, it's good to meet you anyway. You could explain your kitty to us instead

Welcome!

Just loved the pic of "Nakita the Gargoyle". I got a big smile from looking at such a cute kitty. Sarah from Ohio

These are my 3 babies. Domino Gus and Homer. Domino is a 5 year old female, who was rescued from a dumpster at 3 weeks old. She is happy and healthy and very much loved. Gus and Homer are the all white males. They are brothers who were rescued from becoming dinner for some wild tomcats. Enjoy!
They were 3 weeks old in this photo. They are now 8 months old.

OK, I found the place where a picture of my cat is saved, but I don't know what to click on to make the picture come up here.
I hit, "copy", but I couldn't hit "paste", so that is out. Then I get things that say, "Send to...", but I don't know where to "send" it to make it come up in the forum. I'm ALMOST there!

You're getting real close with the pics Samantha. When you post your reply, look under the Options box (underneath where you type your reply). There is an Attach file: box. Hit the Browse button and open your picture like you would in any other program. There are size constrains, it has to be less than 400 x 400 pixels and less than 33 Kb. If your picture is too big, you will be notified when you hit Post Reply.

I'm hopeless
Nothing happens at all. I hit the browse button, open the picture, then the forum just comes up again, with an empty box for me to type in...

Oh well.. Sammy is an American Shorthair tabby with white belly and paws, and very fat
He's 18 pounds, but doesn't eat a lot!

Try this:

When your creating a new post here at the site, click on the browse button (below the new post screen).

The box that pops up will be the 'Choose File' box. This is where you choose what folder on your computer you want the pic to come from. As an example you can look in your Desktop, My documents etc.

Once you choose the area (ie: My Documents), click on the pictures title so that it is highlighted and shows up in the File Name section (bottom of the 'Choose File'box).

Then you just click Open and that will take you back to your new post screen here at The Cat Site.

If your still having problems, you can send me the pic to post here. My email is [email protected].

Glad you like Nakita the Gargoyle! I love the pic and it makes me smile too!

Well, I'm going to TRY to send a picture... my daughter says that the picture won't show up until I hit submit reply! So if this is blank... sorry!

If this DOES come up - this is Sammy who decided to squeeze himself into a basket on the floor.

AND... if it shows up, I want to thank Cassandras Shadow, if not, I'll be emailing her

Well, it looks like the picture didn't come up on the post, then I tried sending it to Russian Blue and the bad ol' MAILER DEMON returned it. (probably because of the picture... my computer and pictures just don't mix..
