I'm not sure if they are gone or not, but here is their stories.
T.K....I found him when he was just a little baby on my porch. The mother had crawled under our stairs and gave birth to a litter of four little kittens. I caught them all when they were old enough and found three of them great homes and kept on. A perfect little orange kitten. I named him T.K. I had him for seven years. My dad hated him and any cat I brought home. He didn't have the heart to tell me to get rid of them, but he did have guts enough to force me to make them outdoor cats. T.K. was great as an outdoor cat. He never brought home fleas, ticks, dead things...he'd just be sitting outside in the morning waiting for me to come out and feed him and play with him before I went to school and he ran off to do whatever it was he did. When we moved to a new house I convinced my dad to let me take him with.
After living in the new house for about a year, my neighbor came over one day with a cute little gray kitten. I named him Meiko. Him and T.K. were great together. T.K. started to feel old and stayed in more, but Meiko loved it outside.
When I graduated from high school, my aunt wanted me to move in with her. I said yes and just before I moved she said "No cats." I was heart broken. Cause my dad didn't have the room for me anymore and he wouldn't keep the cats for me. He told me he was taking them to a shelter and put them in a box. A few weeks after I had moved I got a call from the neighbor that brought me Meiko. My dad had moved to another new house and she said T.K. and Meiko were sitting outside the house meowing to be fed.
My dad had lied to me. He had just dumped them on the side of the road. I'm 900 miles away and can't go get them. I can't afford to have them sent to me cause they don't even have their shots. No carrier will touch them. I got another call not to long ago from that neighbor. She said that T.K. and Meiko stopped coming around.
I'll never find my babies again.
It's taken me a long time to admit it to myself, but I know I never will find them.
T.K. at seven years old.
Meiko at 3 years old.
