That would kind of freak me out. I mean it's not like viewing a pulled tooth! The heart is the motor that runs your body and keeps you alive and see it sitting in a jar of Formaldehyde, well, that's just not natural!

It's just an organ and it would be a neat learning experience to actually be able to see what was wrong with your own eyes.
I'd like to see my gallbladder if (or when) it ever has to come out, it's certainly caused me enough pain and annoyance that I'd want to see why.

Do you think the people would have got upset if she'd ask to poke it?

Yes, i think i would want to see it if i were in her shoes. I think it would remind me to be greatful for recieving a transplant- many people aren't lucky enough to get one.

i defantly would want to see it. Heck i would even watch the operation if they were to film it. Im interested in all that kinda stuff. I find it amazing what they can do to the human body.

I'll pass, but thanks for asking....

No way,, no way, no way.. I like my heart to be in my chest, and not viewing it myself!!

Yep - I'd find it fasinating - they had an open heart surgery on tv one time and it was kinda cool watching the heart beating and realizing your heart does the same thing

Heck yeah! How many people can say they've seen their own heart in a glass jar?

I'd have my picture taken next to it and made into a t-shirt to promote organ transplant awareness!

I don't think I would.
I seen the Bodies Exhibit when it was here in Tampa and freaked me out enough

That would be sweet! There was a guy on the wrestling team in high school who lost his thumb in a mechanical accident... and wore it around his neck in a little tube. It was kind of intimidating to the other teams.

Your heart is just a body part. I'm not grossd out looking at my own skin, why would I be grossed out looking at my heart?

I think most people would like to see what had caused them so much pain and grief. I couldn't wait to put the CD of my spine MRI into the computer to see what was going on with my back. Maybe it's because I work in the medical field and that's just part of my fascination with all things medical. I hope that her story gets out and that it helps raise awareness about organ donation and transplant.
