This is a picture of my baby Gizmo when I first got him. Bought him for ten bucks by the way. When I got Gizmo and brought him home we were under the impression that he was totally blind. His eyes were solid blue. His first visit to the vet was heartbreaking. The vet suggested that we have him put down. He said he would have a horrible quality of life. We got him to provide him a good quality of life. His eyes have cleared up quite a bit and he has no trouble seeing. We and our vet are very happy he is still with us. He is the sweetest thing.

In your post reply there is a button that says "Browse" You click this and find the pic you want from your computer. It can't be any bigger than 400x400 pixels, and other stuff. So if you have trouble attaching it, try cropping it using a paint program or something.

Good Luck!

Gizmo's eyes were affected by a virus the mother carried. They have cleared up real well, but there is still a bit of blue left. We think that it may be cataracts. He can see just fine though, and plays with all the other cats just like normal.

I tried attaching a picture just like you said, but it didn't work. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. It is 320x240, and 11kb. It should meet all requirements. It is a .jpeg. I don't get it.

I'm glad you didn't listen to that vet and the kitty has gotten better too. A lot of new members have problems the first time they try to share pictures, so you're not alone. Maybe you could make the picture slightly smaller and try posting it again? We would love to see a picture of your kitty. Also, this thread http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...&threadid=8764 contains some information on posting pictures. Just keep reading until you find the information you want.

Why would the vet tell you the cat would have a horrible quality of life? Because the cat was blind? If that was the only problem, I'm very shocked that the vet would say that.

If one sense is gone, the other senses compensate and the cat in a good home would have quite a normal life.

If your still having problems posting your pic, just email me the pic and I'll post it. Look at the bottom of this post and click on my profile. Once there, you can email me.
