Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum and just adopted two 7 year old cats. I noticed the male was unwell (wasn't using his box etc.) and took him to the vet and it turns out he had a UTI, but also that his eye was a little swollen and she gave me eye drops with the antibiotics. The pills seem to be no problem to get him to take, but I can't get the eyedrops in an open eye and I was wondering if anyone has advice with eye drops. If his eye is closed i'm hoping when he opens and closes it fast after the drop it'll get in....but i'm not sure.
Anyone?

You have to hold his eye open. Wrap your hand around the back of his head and pull his eyelids open with index finger and thumb. You can wet your fingers to get a little more traction. If you do it fast you can pop the drop in there with your other hand before he has a chance to resist.
