I really like apple fritters, and apple pancakes. Also my sister makes sparkling apple cider every year which we serve at Christmas time..it is very nice.

I also like just eating apples, my favorite being Pink Ladies, and Delicious.

Absolutely apple crumble all the way, even better with a few blackberries thrown in! My mother's homemade apple pie is pretty tasty too.

There is a salad my SIL's make with apples. Carmel apple salad???? Its not a "healthy one that's for sure!!

Anyhow HoneyCrisp will be harvested in the next 2-3 weeks!!!!
But we picked up a new variety at the farmer's market Sat called Ginger Gold (a green colored apple) that doesn't seem too bad!! The seller advertised as is you like Honey Crisp you will like Ginger Gold!!

I love apple pie, apple cider, apple pancakes (I went to a pancake house in Chicago once that had killer German apple pancakes), and caramel apples (again in Chicago there was a place in Old Town called The Fudge Pot that had delicious caramel apples). And for eating plain, I really like Fujis because they're so tart.

Yay! Apple season!!! I love apples just about any way you can make them. Once the weather gets cooler, and the apples are in, it's time to make the pies. I've got five 2 gallon bags full of raspberries and 8 quarts of blueberries in my freezer waiting for pie making season, and as soon as the apples are ripe...I'm going to be making pies for enjoying this coming winter! Gosh, I just love the cider and donuts time of year. This is my favorite season of all!

Mulled cider....mmmmm....that sounds SO good!
