I've had my beloved cat Amelia for eleven years now, but she's been living with my mother since my relocation to the city... denizen of suburbia, I didn't think she'd care much for my third-floor apartment and a certain lack of fields for her to romp and torment birds in. Word is she is pleased with my decision, but persists in sleeping in my linens. =)
Now, through happy fortune, I'm mother yet again, this time of an itty bitty eight week old kitten named Annikki who enjoys snuggling into the couch and meowing until her daddy plays with her.
Mommy and daddy are also currently smelling of tea tree oil since kitty has come to us with a nasty case of ringworm (we didn't put any on her!). It's been over a decade since I've had such a young cat, and she was quite a different personality at that... I'm looking forward to having a new companion a little more familiar with my lifestyle now--and I'm lucky to have a great kitty dad who helps out.
