I haven't figured it out yet either and I'm 27!
I usually get so frustrated with them that I end up wadding them up and shoving them in the closet!

Hmmmm, maybe there's some cosmic requirement that you have to be 30 before this skill really 'clicks'? Because that's about the time I finally figured out how to do the folding the corners together method. . . I can usually fold a queen-size sheet down to match the flat sheet, and just tuck the pillowcases btwn the flat & fitted.

never thought about using a door as another set of hands, tho -- of course that would get them dirty all over again in my house, since I never dust the doors (and rarely the frames.) lol

I wad them into balls.
I've tried & tried....then I quit. I only own one set of sheets, so that way I can truly avoid the hassle!

Take 2 corners at the points made by the seam, either the head of the foot of the sheet, and fold the sheet in half lengthwise. Be sure to hold the rest of the sheet off of the floor. You then take these 2 folded corners, open a door in your house, put the sheet corners in the opening at the doorknob area and close the door on them. This is your second set of hands. Once it is secured in the door, grab the other end, back away from the door, and fold the opposite corners together in the same way. Then you hold those 2 corners together, run your other hand along the top of the sheets until you reach the center, and fold in half to meet the corners that are in the door. Now open the door while holding the corners that are in the door, and put the 4 corners together. You now have a small rectangle to complete the folding however you wish.
That's new. I like it! Have to try that one too. Soon, I will know how to fold a fitted sheet, or I will just completely give up.

There is no good way to fold them once they are out of the package. I usually just kinda fold the corners inside the middle, then in half, and again, and tuck the corners in for a neater look.

I've gotten the 4 corners thing figured out pretty well...however, it's just so much easier to take the darn thing out of the dryer and just put it back on the bed. Avoid the whole folding fiasco that way!

But may I suggest my own method instead? I reach into the dryer, grasp one corner of the sheet, and quickly roll the whole thing up in a big loose wad. Then I carry it to the linen closet, select the appropriate shelf, stuff the sheet in, and slam the door before it can tumble out.

I call this the "Life Is Too Damn Short To Fold Sheets" method.
I use a variation on that method. I fold it as best I can (which isn't very good) and then when I put it on the best I mist it lightly with febreze to get the wrinkles out. My sister does the same thing with her work clothes; they're always hanging in the shower after being misted, and then the steam the next morning in the shower "irons" them
We're both in the clean but not fussed over camp of housekeeping...

I almost has this figured out on my own last weekend. It was driving me nuts. I know some people can fold it standing up. I just don't get how they do it. Thanks for the videos.

Make sense?

if not I can try again to explain a little better
This is the closest I could come to explaining how to fold a fitted sheet. I could show someone but explaining is hard. I used to work in 2 hotel laundry rooms and both of the showed me how to properly fold a fitted sheet.

I'm with you, girl! I've come to the conclusion that it can't be done!
Just try folding a king-sized fitted sheet - for one thing, my arms aren't long enough!
Thank heavens for linen closets!
