Daily Thread Saturday 1 September.

Good morning, afternoon and evening everyone.

Well since 90% of voters said they would like a weekend thread, here it is.
Its a little late today as I had to have dinner with the in-laws

not so bad though coz at least I can drink there.

Not much happening today, my wife commented on how fat Ryu has become recently and thats that,

I'm going to air my laundry here for a second, so if you aren't interested then just make your post or go to another thread.

I come to realise today I have made a number of sacrifices over the past 6mths but what do I get out of it? apart from Ryu.
I have quit smoking, drinking {except when we go to the IL's}, I don't drink OJ anymore and I've given up kit kats and NZ imported ice cream. Which saves us approx $200 USD per month. {Smokes are only like $20USD per carton}
All that and I "may" get to keep Ryu. What does the wife sacrifice? "nothing" all I ask is that she lose some weight for health reasons, but she can't even do that.


Oh I stop there.

Good Morning everyone!!!

I've been absent most of this week because of my new job which is very demanding.

Today was a first in my world: found little kitten poop in two separate spots.

I've been doing the litter-box training regimine everyday and thought they were getting the idea, but have yet to see anyone use the boxes. They're 5 weeks tomorrow so I'm hoping soon.

We're also getting a new tempurpedic bed today!!! I'm excited about that, except for the fact that we're not having it delivered, we're picking it up and hauling it up three flights of stairs.

Our bed will be transferred into the spare bedroom where the kittens and their Mommy reside...so they'll have their own bed!!!

Good Morning Takezou!

I'm so happy we have the weekend threads.... it gives me something to look forward to.

Well, as many of you know, I've been living at my dads.... well, he went out of town for the weekend so I'm home alone. AND BORED!! I think I'm going to go swimming (my dad has a pool). I might even BBQ for myself tonight, hehe!

Not much else going on, oh and PHX and my dad's animals are getting along OK!

I forgot to mention that I cracked my head good and proper. My wifes niece was looking at my head and pointed it out, "OMG Takezou's head is bleeding. I didn't know it, it was a bit painful but didn't think it was enough to draw blood.

Meh, what can you do eh.

It's a beautiful day here in Indiana, temps in the low 80s with a nice breeze and lots of sun! I'm so bored right now as John went to an auction with his mother and I didn't feel like going to an auction this weekend (we go nearly every weekend). But now I have nothing to do until he gets back!

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone

DH and I just finished some more of our master bedroom improvements

Our trim painting is all done and the ceiling fan has been installed!

We're just going to spend the rest of the weekend relaxing and hanging out together seeing how tomorrow is our 1 year wedding anniversary!

Well, today is nice and sunny with the mid to upper 80's and a small breeze blowing, quiet a change from all the 100+ degree weather we were having!!

Takezou, I hope your head is feeling better by now. (How did you hurt your head?)

Well, nothing really planned today, except for maybe getting out this afternoon and going grocery shopping. (fun, fun)

Hi All!

Well soon mom comes and she'll be here until Thurs night. Hopefully the bed comes at 3 like it's supposed to.

Today is take the cats to the vets day, clean the house like a fiend day and paste DO NOT LET THE CATS OUT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES on every door day.

Takezou, I hope your head is feeling better by now sounds like you have a nasty bump.

Better go, the cats have to be at the vets soon.

I walked into a light fixture whilst entertaining my wife's nieces. They didn't notice til some time after the event.
I am far too tall for this country and even when I do duck, I swear the stinking door ways and light fixtures magcally lower themselves til I smack my head. I'm amazed I haven't had a concussion or brain damage yet.

I need to post this link. Although some may disagree about the humour, I damn near pee my pants every time I see it. I can watch it 100x in a row and nearly pass out from laughing too much.


I can't help it if you get cranky but at least you should have a good lugh this weekend.

ETA: She is also the same voice for the woman that plays the boob lady in the movie. {thats what the main character calls her}

Sorry to laugh, but sounds like everyone is having a great weekend.

It's a beautiful day here and I plan on getting my butt in gear after I recover from the shock of all my cat vet expenses this month. I just got back from the store refilling George's insulin.

The good news is that I am officially on vacation for a week but I didn't get everything I needed to done, so I will probably have to go into work on Tues.

Gorgeous day here today nice sunny, a little on the breezy side but it makes it nice and cool.

Working most of day as usaul but hope to get off about 4 so I can go and do a few errands that I was to lazy to do yesterday.

The kitties are good this morning. Doing their morning birdwatching right now.

good afternoon everyone!

nothing much going on so far. I'll get more cleaning done and tear apart my bedroom in preparation for painting. Unfortunately, that means removing the cats bed (I don't have the money or room for a cat tree... so the cats have IKEA shelves instead

) They're not gonna be happy about that!

I also need to go up a ladder to finish painting the other room. But I'd prefer to do that when I can find someone to help... if only to stand near the phone and call 911 when I fall.

Well Neil and I went to farmer's market this morning to pick up some veggies that I don't grow for grilling tomorrow. And some fancy fresh mozarella for my tomato, basil sald-lets see if its worth the extra $$$. Then stopped at a couple of nurseries to look at trees for the front yard. I was excited to find one that is impossible to find in our area (and 20% off). So I have to get that one for sure!!

But sidelined with allergy problems-I should have taken my 12 hr sudafed this am.

The person who took out our mailbox stopped over yesterday and apologized!!
And gave Neil $50!! We haven't had to spend any money but time to put together a new one (not done yet!!). Neil can buy himself a little something with that.

Dug out my red potatoes-poor yield due to weather I'm sure.

Pizza for dinner tonight and not much else going on.

Have housework for tomorrow and have to prep my August invoices for mail on Tuesday.

I lead such an exciting life.........
