Well, we got the apartment. I will be starting my move tomorrow. For now, the cats will stay at the house. We will check up on them throughout the weekend. We are not moving the furniture for a week or 2.

Bad thing is, I havent been able to find someone to take in my babies. The cat shelter is full and not accepting anymore cats and the ASPCA wants $66.50 per cat, when they have room, which they don't. I cannot afford that! I don't want to take them to the city shelter because they won't really try to find them a home. After 48-72 hours they put them to sleep. I don't want that to happen to my kitties!!

I wish that someone here lived close by to take them in. All but one of them has been altered. Only the smallest one remains to be spayed. We didnt have the money to get her done.

I will not have internet access after sometime tomorrow for about 5 days.

I will check in here before I disconnect my computer for the move in case someone has an idea for what I can do about the kitties.

I have asked everyone I know if they can take 1 or 2, but no one can.

Have you tried advertising on Craigslist? Perhaps you can find someone on there.

Well, the lady at the apartment complex when we signed our lease suggested the humane society. I thought they put them down within 72 hours but they changed their policy. They try hard to find homes for the kitties. IF that doesnt work I may try craigslist.

LOL She had 12 cats!! I asked her if she wanted 6 more... LOL She doesnt live at the complex but has her own home. Needless to say, she didn't bite.

We have moved some of the stuff today but are waiting to move the big stuff in about 2 weeks. Right now is too hot to do much of anything. It was supposed to be 106 today. Last I checked it was 100.

Good luck with the move and with finding a home for your babies! If I wasn't on the other side of the country, I'd take in 2 or 3 of them!
