Hello my friends!
...do you remember this?
http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=137988

So, during this week and after the Hurricane menace, ( in my city,) there are lots and lots of news on the Local News Papers,....Unfortunately not always are good for the state like this one..

http://www.yucatan.com.mx/noticia.asp?cx=9$3403000000$3629531&f=20070831

so the main topic to chat in everywhere is before and afte the pass of the hurricane
....Furthermore, my stereo of my car have a damage, and in a destiny way the CD of the Scorpions Worl wide tour is stocked into the stereo, so this week I been listening THAT ONLY cd!

So you have to guess now wich one song is stucked in my head this week!

Scorpions - Rock You Like A Hurricane lyrics

It's early morning
The sun comes out
Last night was shaking
And pretty loud
My cat is purring
And scratches my skin

So what is wrong
With another sin
The bitch is hungry
She needs to tell
So give her inches
And feed her well

More days to come
New places to go
I've got to leave
It's time for a show

Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane

Here I Am!

Share with us wich one song is stucked on your head this week!

Mine is "Knock Three Times" by Tony Orlando and Dawn. Someone sent me a You Tube link to a parody of that song done on behalf of Senator Craig. It won't leave my head now.

Thank you for doing this weekly thread, Rigel! It's a wonderful idea!

I drove my brother to and from the airport this week, a total of about 150 miles on two days, so I had a good long time to enjoy that fabulous new station, Lone Star 92.5. They played this for me twice, so sweet and sad... a great song.

Simple Twist of Fate

They sat together in the park
As the evening sky grew dark
She looked at him and he felt a spark
Tingle to his bones
'Twas then he felt alone
And wished that he'd gone straight
And watched out for a simple twist of fate.

They walked along by the old canal
A little confused, I remember well
And stopped into a strange hotel
With the neon burning bright.
He felt the heat of the night
Hit him like a freight train
Moving with a simple twist of fate.

A saxophone someplace far off played
As she was walking on by the arcade
And the light burst through a beat-up shade
Where he was waking up
She dropped a coin into the cup
Of a blind man at the gate
And forgot about a simple twist of fate.

He woke up, the room was bare
He didn't see her anywhere
He told himself he didn't care
Pushed the window open wide
Felt an emptiness inside
To which he just could not relate
Brought on by a simple twist of fate.

He hears the ticking of the clocks
And walks along with a parrot that talks,
Hunts her down by the waterfront docks
Where the sailors all come in
Maybe she'll pick him out again
How long must he wait
One more time for a simple twist of fate.

People tell me it's a sin
To know and feel too much within
I still believe she was my twin
But I lost the ring.
She was born in spring
But I was born too late
Blame it on a simple twist of fate.

I was flipping channels earlier this week and I guess it was a clip from one of the games but it had the Gegege no kitaro song on it. So that's been sneaking into my head all week.
...probably only a couple people on here that's even heard it before.

Iron Maiden- Hallowed Be Thy Name

Actually, anything by Iron Maiden. I listen to their music more than any other band or artist. They have been around since 1975, were one of the pioneers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal along with bands like Judas Priest, Def Leppard, Saxon and Motorhead among others.

Hallowed Be Thy Name:
Im waiting in my cold cell when the bell begins to chime
Reflecting on my past life and it doesnt have much time
Cos at 5 oclock they take me to the gallows pole
The sands of time for me are running low

When the priest comes to read me the last rites
I take a look through the bars at the last sights
Of a world that has gone very wrong for me

Can it be theres some sort of error
Hard to stop the surmounting terror
Is it really the end not some crazy dream

Somebody please tell me that Im dreaming
Its not so easy to stop from screaming
But words escape me when I try to speak
Tears they flow but why am I crying
After all I am not afraid of dying
Dont believe that there is never an end

As the guards march me out to the courtyard
Someone calls from a cell God be with you
If theres a God then why has he let me die?

As I walk all my life drifts before me
And though the end is near Im not sorry
Catch my soul cos its willing to fly away

Mark my words please believe my soul lives on
Please dont worry now that I have gone
Ive gone beyond to see the truth

When you know that your time is close at hand
Maybe then youll begin to understand
Life down there is just a strange illusion.

I enjoyed the Pigeon Detectives song. I haven't heard of them before!

Bryan, my hubby is a huge Iron Maiden fan and has on more than one occasion regaled me with their wonderful lyrics. I have learned to appreciate them.

I recently got the new Tori Amos CD, so have been listening to that all day in the car. "Big Wheel" keeps getting stuck in my head.

Unfortunately I made the mistake of watching the South Park movie the other evening.

Needless to say the song I had stuck in my head most of the week would have to be

Honestly though the movie is so bad that you can't help but

I'm happy that you have learned to appreciate them. The wife hates Iron Maiden and pretty much everything else I listen to.

I like other music but I'm a headbanger at heart. Besides the metal and hair bands I also like classic rock and some country. I can't stand rap, techno, electronica, dance or hip hop. That said, I listen to some Maiden about every day. All of their songs tell some sort of story and they keep getting better with age. I've never seen a better live band in my life (Metallica came close).
