This is my first visit to this site. I am trying to find information or advice about my cat, Joy. She is 3 1/2 years old. The last week she has been drinking LOTS of water and occationally vomiting (which is very watery). Can cats get the flu? Should I be overly concerned? She is normally a very healthy cat. She is an indoor cat that has been declawed and fixed for 2 1/2 years. Thank you for your time!

To be honest, I don't know what that could be. I think it's best to see the vet if you see any change in your pet's usual routine. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck with your cat.

You need to get your cat to the vet quickly. Watery vomiting is a bad sign and your kitty could be quite dehydrated. One way to check to see if she is dehydrated is to take and gently pinch the scruff of her neck and then let go. Does the skin stay up? Or does it go down slowly? She could be anemic, there are a lot of problems she could have. Your vet will know what is going on after performing a few tests. Please take her in and then let us know what the vet says. Good luck!
