I probably get on his nerves.

Poor Popsie, he's an old guy and he probably just wants peace and quiet. A lot of times when he's sleeping I'll go up to him and pet him, get in his face and give him smoochies. He probably just wants left alone but I can't help it, I love him so much. No wonder he's taken to sleeping in the linen closet. He must be trying to get away from me.
He won't even sleep with me through the whole night like he used to.

I do the same thing, and I've often wondered if the cats get peeved. Mine are both young though, so I think they know they have to put up with it. After a few minutes, Skippy gets a look on his face that says "Can be done with kisses time now?"
