All cats have differant reactions to surgery. If she is an older cat, it may slow her down for a day or so. It also depends on if the vet gives you pain meds for her and what kind of pain meds they give. Most cat don't seem to bothered by it. They only one of my animals that was ever bothered by being spayed is my siberian husky who is the BIGGEST drama queen. She spent the night whining and crying every time she moved. The vet even gave her TWO shots of pain meds. She's just a big baby though. Your kitty will mostly likely be back to her normal self in no time.

They all react differently and will have less pain if it is laser surgery than the normal kind. Your vet can tell you more about the method used and the after effects.
