Some of you may know I was a little scared about Ike's surgery (just getting spayed).

Well, she is all done and I brought her home just a few hours ago. She was REALLY groggy...out of it and stumbling.

They told me to let her sleep it off, but she refuses to sleep! It's like she wants to play and jump and run, but she's too drugged up!
I have her in my lap now, trying to pet her to sleep...Poor baby!

Well. I plan to use this thread to kind of keep everyone updated with her. I hope to get her drinking some water some time tonight. And hopefully she can eat tomorrow some time!

SO GLAD TO HEAR SHE'S SPAYED AND HOME! Just make sure she doesn't hurt herself while she's "stoned" and she'll likely be drinking and eating tomorrow. We are always advised to let them lick ice the first day post-op -- no water and no food.

I like your "black cats" footer!

Aww, so glad your Ike is doing well.

I just had Ella Mae spayed last Friday, and by Saturday evening, you would of never known it~~

Gosh, that's pretty much the case with Ike too! I tried to get her to sleep it off last night, but the poor baby just sat there with her eyes open! Then she would try to walk and play, and she'd trip and run into things...

Today when I woke up, she was just as lively as ever...acted like nothing ever happened! And now she's eating and drinking normally!!!

Thanks for all your support <3
