Well, I got the toy in the mail shortly before I moved, and just recently was able to find a spot to hang it. It is much larger than I thought, and is really a bit too big to hang in a doorway.

I have strung it from the center part of the bottom of my ceiling fan in my office, which is in the center of the room, giving plenty of room for the toy to move about and swing freely.

It was pretty much ignored for the first few days, but this morning, after having tossed two cat cubes onto the floor just below the dangling mouse, it suddenly became a big hit for Penny!

Penny LOVES to stalk, and she loves cat cubes for that very reason. She is always popping in and out of them in sneak attacks on Ferris
and this morning she was going crrrrrrrazy popping in and out of the cubes while attacking the Tiger Tamer mouse!

Money well spent, one thoroughly occupied (and therefore satisfied and happy) Bengal, one very pleased Meowmy.

I definitely recommend this toy for energetic kitties if you have the SPACE for it, and I also strongly recommend giving ambush ability in the form of cat cubes or cardboard boxes. Otherwise, it's just another mouse on a string.

I can't wait to try to get some pics of Penny playing with it! (I say TRY, because she is usually way too fast for my shutter speeds, LOL!)

What is this Tiger Tamer toy that you're talking about? I googled in Petsmart & Petco and couldn't find anything about it.

Let me know.. I am always on the lookout for new cat toys. I don't know WHY I want to get new toys since they already have a zillion toys at home!

Here is the original thread that brought it to my attention - there is a link somewhere in the thread to buy one.

And I understand about the zillion toy thing, I really do.

I think I have a problem.
Is there a self-help program for over-indulgent cat owners?

Note: It is also called: Dipsy Doodle Tiger Toy

Now we need to see videos of your racing teams (you do have enough for two teams, Takoda can be captain of one and Magnum can be the captain of the other
) as they get that wheel CRANKING!

I just ordered it. Thanks!

As soon as I get it, I'll have to figure out WHERE to put it in my apt that won't cause a big hole!

Friends who visits my apt always remark on the # of cat stuff I have compared to stuff I have for MYSELF.. There's alot more cat stuff (toys, furniture, scratching posts, etc) than for me!
I need to sign up for the program for over-indulgent cat owners

I think we might have to make the overindulgent cat owners an actual support group. Mine get more of my money than I do (and toss it all about the house in the form of tiny mice, cat toys, litter boxes, cat trees... sheesh!!!!! I can't fit all their miscellaneous stuff all at once. I have to rotate it.

Yay Betsy!!
I'm so glad to hear that at least one of your babies likes it. That's the one thing that's holding me back from ordering one....I'm not sure I have a place to put it!

That's the problem I'm having with it. I don't really have any place that's "free space" where there's enough room for it to swing and them to flip and fall like they normally do.. except middle of the living room, in front of the tv (which could be bad).. I think I might have to put it up and put it on a hook so that I can take it off or put it on as I can so that they can play with it. It'll have to be in the middle of a walkway somewhere. My crew are little play lunatics. I really need a cleared out room for them to play in (just for me to play "da bird" with them. They're constantly slamming into things. I worry that they're going to hurt themselves (not that you'd think that from their reactions which is to immediately jump and try to catch whatever it is like they didn't run into a solid wall or the corner of something). I swear they're going to break their little bodies with as violently as they play.

So, kinda worried that if I don't put it in the middle of a room, they're going to break whatever it's close enough to hit.
