Well, I got the toy in the mail shortly before I moved, and just recently was able to find a spot to hang it. It is much larger than I thought, and is really a bit too big to hang in a doorway.
I have strung it from the center part of the bottom of my ceiling fan in my office, which is in the center of the room, giving plenty of room for the toy to move about and swing freely.
It was pretty much ignored for the first few days, but this morning, after having tossed two cat cubes onto the floor just below the dangling mouse, it suddenly became a big hit for Penny!
Penny LOVES to stalk, and she loves cat cubes for that very reason. She is always popping in and out of them in sneak attacks on Ferris
and this morning she was going crrrrrrrazy popping in and out of the cubes while attacking the Tiger Tamer mouse!
Money well spent, one thoroughly occupied (and therefore satisfied and happy) Bengal, one very pleased Meowmy.
I definitely recommend this toy for energetic kitties if you have the SPACE for it, and I also strongly recommend giving ambush ability in the form of cat cubes or cardboard boxes. Otherwise, it's just another mouse on a string.
I can't wait to try to get some pics of Penny playing with it! (I say TRY, because she is usually way too fast for my shutter speeds, LOL!)
