Thought I would stop in and introduce myself.
I'm new to posting on the forums, but I have been reading them since Feb. 2006 when I was looking for advice on how to care for my kitty Maggie who had kidney failure.
Unfortunately we lost her in August of last year. One of the hardest things I've ever had to go through.
In October we had started to have the biggest and handsomest black cat start coming around. We took him in two week before Halloween since he was a black cat, and well, I've heard the horror stories. Needless to say, he adopted us. We named him Arlokk and he has been our big boy every since. We ended up finding out the real story on him later. His family moved from the apartment complex we lived in and left him behind to fend for himself. They moved out of state and just let him go outside.
Due to privacy rules, the manager of the complex couldn't give me their info, but she did try to contact them.
Two weeks ago we adopted our newest furbaby, Aura. She is a hyperactive little girl and we just love her for it. She has a great personality and may be just a little to hyper for our big boy. But when he is in the mood I have cats running races through our apartment as they love to chase each other. They take turns, he chase her and they turn around and she chases him. They can do this for an hour! I guess that is good since Arlokk could use a little exercise.
So those are my babies!
