Question about eggs

You know how sometimes when you crack open an egg there will be a tiny white dot in the yolk. What the heck is that? It totally creeps me out. Also, I can't stand the slimmy worm lookin thing that is attached to the yolk. I pick them off cuz I can't stand the thought of eating it. Blah, gross

cant answer your question, but I heard on the radio that some one bought supermarket eggs, and tried to hatch one of them, and it worked! (apparently) it made the news in the UK in the spring I think.....
