My FrontlinePlus just arrived today.

We just came home and are about to apply it to Lily.

How long should we keep her separated from her kittens after application to be safe?????

I called the Frontline hotline and no one answered.

After spending $400 at the Emergency Vet for Mutty the other day, I'm really hesitant about calling him.

I feel REALLY ripped off (and we didn't even get a bloodwork panel, which would have been an additional 120).

*I'll write about that in another thread*

I was just wondering from experience if I could get some advice.
The kittens are four weeks old so she still is nursing, but I know from asking the vet while I was there that frontline is safe for nursing kitties, just want to know how long to confine her away from them for safety.

While I *don't* have experience with this situation, I do know that it takes a couple hours for the Frontline to "soak in". The instructions say something to the effect of not petting your cat for that period of time so you don't come in contact with the meds. If your kittens will be okay for that long on their own, I would think that would likely be long enough to keep them separated. At that point, they won't get any on them by touching Lily. Again, I haven't dealt with this; just my two cents.

The package said "between the shoulder blades"...so that's where I applied it, but it seems that maybe that was too low because she can lick it there.

Did I make a huge boo boo???

Well, all seems fine.

We fed Lily, she drank some water... took a little nap.

I spent about forty five minutes with the kittens.

Waited a bit, brought them in here, and everyone is falling asleep nursing.

I think all is well.

And we're one step closer to NO MORE FLEAS!!!!
