Rocket models his new pants

POOR PRECIOUS BOY!

Y'all are a hoot and it is cheering me up!

I discovered another use for stud pants. When I took his pants off tonight, I found a tapeworm segment crawling around on the inside. I've been checking his butt every day for weeks, expecting to find one, but that's been hit or miss. Often they drop off. Who knows how many might be laying around the house? But the pants caught this one. And this just five days after his fecal exam was negative. Just goes to show....

And of course, I don't find it until after vet's office closing time on Friday night. Figures.

Incidentally, it's really rather fascinating watching that little white blob under a magnifying glass. The contortions it goes through trying to crawl are really something. Varying all the way from a round ball to a long, thin line. When it's stretched out it's quite noticeably flat. Pretty cool.....

I'm wondering about the area under the chin getting worse. Is the E-collar plastic? If so, the plastic may be irritating the chin area.....
And the stud pants are very clever.

It's one of those disposable paper e-collars. It rides low enough down on the neck so it's not contacting the affected area. The area has been getting smaller, so I think it's healing from the outside in.

Well, I don't share your fascination with 'em, but sure hope you are able to get Rocket relief first thing Monday -- that's ALL he needs!

I bowed to Rocket's masculine sensibilities and made him some manly denim pants:
