iv always wondered this.
Gracy iv been told is classed as a blue and white, is this right?

this was mittens when he was only 2 days old, i was told he looked to be a silver and white mackral tabby.

this is him now at 14 weeks old, his does have brown tarnishing and is still deffently grey,in this pictures he seems more brown but i think its the lighten but is he classed as a blue or silver, it dosnt bother me atall but i love trying to understand colours etc in cats.

He is a nice blue tabby/white. The blue is a greyish color with darker grey stripes. The "tarnish" is called patina on a blue and its on all blues - its not tarnish.

On a silver you have more of a whitish background with black markings and the "tarnish" would be brown.

Sometimes its hard to tell on a dark blue if the markings are black or blue. Silvers are kinda rare in regular domestic cats - its usually the purebreds that you see the silver gene.

If you get a good silver and good blue next to each other, you can see the difference.

And yes, Gracie would be a blue/white bicolor
