I just found out Crowded House is playing at a local winery on Wednesday night, so just bought a ticket!!! WOOHOOO!!!!!! I'm sooooo excited - I love Crowded House and have done so for ages!

Unfortunately there was only single seats left, so can't sit with friends who are going, but it's better than nothing!

I'm super excited, because if I saw them in Australia, it'd be at a HUGE concert venue and you wouldn't get a good seat, and the acoustics would be horrible. But this is a small outdoors venue, so it should sound fabulous, and be pretty close to the stage!

Haha, don't let the Kiwis hear you call them an Aussie band!!!

I saw INXS when Jon Stevens was doing the lead, and they were awesome. I haven't seen them with the latest guy though - I heard he wants his own fame and glory, so I don't know how much band cohesion there is. I'm sure they'd be great though! Now I have to see if they're playing anywhere near me....

Oh man! I LOVE Crowded House. I have the DVD of their last concert... I wonder if they are back together for just a few concerts, or if they are making a DVD?

You are going to have a great time. The baby will probably start kicking to the music!

They're doing a massive tour all around the US, Canada, Europe, UK, Australia and New Zealand that goes until December!

Dates and venues are here - http://www.crowdedhouse.com/tour.php

I actually have them playing right now, and he's going nuts - so it will be interesting what he thinks of the concert!

Ah, they are going to be iin Vancouver September 3, the day before school starts. Wow, our daughter loves them too, and would love to go! I wish they were coming to Victoria, Vancouver is a looong day trip and there wouldn't be a ferry back home that late.

Hope you and the little one have a great time!

i love crowded house!

and about inxs' new lead singer - JD Fortune,

He's good. I mean, really very good - but he sounds A LOT like Michael; the sound works and it's new and fresh but still being classic if you know what I mean....I really like it a lot.

Thank you Sarah.
But Crowded House have been living in Aussie so long haven't they? How did they do, especially after Paul Hester committed suicide?

I didn't realise they were known outside of Australia and New Zealand.

Interesting the support act for Crowded House is Liam Finn - I think he's Tim Finn's son? His band Betchadupa is also pretty darn good if I recall correctly, so that'll be good to hear him!

Yay! Maybe you can settle a dispute between me and mum, without me googling. When i saw their new song on the tv a couple of months ago, i was trying to figure out if that was Tim in the band (obviousely i know there is a different drummer now, RIP Hestie) and mum says no, it's a new person, so that means only half of the band is back together (Neil and Nick). But i SWEAR it is Tim in the film clip, and i saw them on Live Earth. I know Tim was sick at one point, he dropped a tonne of weight and was really grey, but i know that afterwards i think he coloured his hair, and he looked like him old self again?

Is he or isn't he back? If he isn't, does that mean he's still sick?

I know i'm only 23, but mum used to have all their albums and i listened to them alot, i love them (and i still call them Aussies lol)
