Where whiskers abound.
Now I lay me down to sleep,
The king-size bed is soft and deep...
I sleep right in the center groove
My human can hardly move!
I've trapped her legs, she's tucked in tight
And here is where I pass the night
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
Till morning comes and "I want food!"
I sneak up slowly to begin
My nibbles on my human's chin.
She wakes up quickly, I have sharp teeth -
And my claws I will unsheath
For the morning's here and it's time to play
I always seem to get my way.
So thank you Lord for giving me
This human person that I see.
The one who hugs me and holds me tight
And sacrifices her bed at night.

Aww... I like to think they appreciate how out of our way we go for them!

Very cute... and true!

That's odd... the first line it centered... maybe you need to add center tage to each line?

Fixed it! I changed the 'editor' option.

That is so cute! Reminds me of when I lived at home and my RB girls Glory and Tiger slept with me. (my girls now can't because of DH's allergies) They used to rub on my nose to wake me up. Tiger had bad teeth, her breath alone could have woken me up! Gosh I miss those 2!

Great poem! Everyone should have that hanging on the fridge or over their kittys bed!

Wishing I were anywhere but here
That is a neat little poem and so true!
I give up half my bed for Lexi and she always manages to get her back feet under my stomach (she sleeps stretched out!). I have a twin size bed so that doesn't leave me much.
