Last night I decided to rent a Video on Demand movie. I settled on "Number 23". Bad mistake!

First I didn't notice that it starred "Jim Carrey" who is one of my least favourite actors and this movie didn't change that.

And the movie was just plain weird! Really, really weird!

The only reason I watched the whole movie is because I was being charged for it one way or another, but if it was a freebie I would have tuned out 15 minutes into the movie.

Oh I can barely stomach Jim Carrey. From the previews I'd seen I had the feeling that he might have a nude scene or a barf scene in it, and to be honest the thought of seeing him either way, was enough to turn me totally off of seeing the film. Actually the thought of seeing him try to play a serious roll is also enough to make me almost sick to my stomach. I can tolerate him, in his comedy rolls, but when he tries to get serious, it's just disgusting to me.

I heard it was weird...but I try to stay away from movies unless I KNOW they will most likely not disappoint me! Mostly because they are #@*^ expensive where I live.

Meh, I'm not really a Jim fan either...but I love The Truman Show.

Yes, I was just going to bring up The Truman Show in his defense. He's a very fine actor when he settles down! And if he ever grows out of the junior-high-class-clown element of his character, I think he'll start making good career choices like that one more often.

I actually kind of liked Number 23. I have a hard time just sitting through movies without doing anything else (when I watch them at home). But this one I sat right through it. It was the kind of movie that messed with your head and got you thinking. And I like those kinds. They keep me, sort of "involved," in the movie.

The other night me and my dad sat down to watch this movie. I could not get the movie.. it had no interest to my whatsoever. I ended going to bed and giving up on the movie. My dad, however, stayed up and watched it- the next morning he said he didn't like it. Usually, I like Jim Carrey though.

I watched it when it first came out on DVD. I kind of forgot what it was about until I saw a preview yesterday and asked my DH. I thought it was pretty good. I like the ones that make you think.

I saw it with my mom and I agree it was weird. Good thing for me I like movies like that.
