Dorky Fish has taken to humping PJ as of an hour ago.

PJ was born at the shelter, DOB 5/5/07. Not neutered.

Dorky Fish DOB 4/1/05. Neutered 2/12/06.

Why now? And why poor PJ?

I really don't want Dorky to mess up the poor kid!

What can I do? PJ went to the shelter today as it was open(I hoped he'd get placed), but other than that nothings changed. He's exactly 3 1/2 months old, so technically shouldn't be "tomcatty".

Just trying to wrap my mind around this!

Keep in my PJ & Punky are my fosters & Dorky Fish is my own kitty.

Your fosters are getting older, Dorky is just displaying dominance, reminding him who the boss is.
It is actually pretty common.

My two 3yr old boys still do dominance mounting.

Did PJ let your cat do it without fighting back? If so it might be good when/if he gets placed into a home with other cats.

Poor Sho tries to do this to Tomas sometimes, but doesn't quite know what he's doing (he's not exactly a dominate kitty). He just grabs Tomas and stands there looking confused until they both awkwardly walk away each other or turn to mutual grooming.

My four year old male does it to my four year old female. She doesn't like it but puts up with it for a little while then tries to get away.

Whew. I hope so. Can you tell I've never had a male cat before?

PJ just sorta yelled at Dorky.
He was like "what the heck is that knot head doing now?!?!"

I'm pretty sure it is a dominance thing. Jiggy used to do it to Gette, then when we got Sophia, he did it to her. Now he doesn't bother either of them anymore (Jiggy's neutered and the girls are spayed). But even dogs do it. I had a female dog that would, from time to time, do it to my younger female.

Yeah Tosh does this to Oreo. He grabs her neck with his teeth and then does a kneading action on either side while straddling her. First time I saw it I about died laughing. Oreo takes it some times and other times she lets him have it. I really died of embarrassment when I was showing a friend around our house. We get to my husband's office which we had Tosh and Oreo locked up in and I open the doors. Well wouldn't you know but Tosh is mounted on Oreo right in front of the door. The friend goes
I just wanted to go hide
