Natures' logic dry cat food

HAs anyone tried this food. I am looking inot it and wondering if anyone has used it or heard of it.

It looks like a good food but better can be had at most pet stores

I tried it this spring. My cats loved it (all three flavors) and did beautifully well on it, despite the unusual ingredient list. The one with chronic bad breath really improved while she was eating that brand. I couldn't feed it for very long, though, it's so expensive. I was only able to try it once because of a really good sale.

Sharky, thanks so much for your response. I really appreciate allt he detail you put into. Please let me know what you feel is a good dry food on the natural side. I am looking for a ver good dry diet. My cats eat royal canin, it trust thsi company but want to go more natural and not too high in protein. Thanks bunches!

If you don't mind some prodding....do your kitties have any health issues(history of UTI, diabetes, food allergies,etc)?

No, they do not have any ailments. I like royal canin as they are a trusted company. I have problems with new companies and no history on their food. I have tried solid gold, innova and wellness. Their grain free diets are very high in protein though. I might look back into solid gold

What are your guys feeling on solid gold?

Solid gold is a GOOD food it is VERY grainy ..... in the same quality and price with out too much protein..

Age of cats??

I fed Solid Gold Katz-N-Flocken for 6 months or more to Ophelia, Dorian, & Damita. They all looked fantastic on it! I really like the food. I had to swtich as it is no longer UTI friendly & Ophelia/Dory have a history of UTIs.

I have 3 cats. Two are going on 4 and one is 6

Solid gold does not have the bad grains right?

There are NO BAD grains... just cats are OBLIGATE carnivores and need only about 3-5% grains in there diet ... on ave grocery foods are 40-50 carbs premium 20-30 grain frees 7-20... Solid gold is about 33% carbs ... Natural choice is 27% see the difference in % from multi grains >???

In many cat s carbs are what causes wt issues not fat or overall calories ... I like to call it the some cats need Atkins( most) and some need Jenny craig

I thought about trying that food myself once but there is one thing I have noticed. The food has almonds in it. There are people who have allergies to nuts, sometimes it's fatal. It may be rare but it exists. How can we be sure that our pets won't develop an allergy to nuts?

Well that is a good thought ... but ANYTHING with protein can produce a fatal allergy ... But almonds are low on the nut allergy list in humans ... Peanuts which are a legume not a true nut are NUMBER 1 in humans and dogs

Can I just ask why a food with not too much protein?

ETA: Orijen is 75% protein - is that too much?
