Hand held Vac, which one?

Our Dustbuster is dying. It's about 4 years. I would think they would last longer. It is slowing loosing the charge. What brands/type have you had luck with & liked? We use it for picking up litter, etc off the carpet.

I don't use a hand held vacum. I use the carpet flick. It was recommended on a thread awhile ago so I tried it and I love it! Costs less then a hand held vacum and is a heck of a lot lighter.

Would it work on the "sawdust" from pine litter?

I would assume so. It works on cat hair, fish food, and clay litter at my house.

What's a carpet flick? And how much?

We have the dustbuster and you can buy a new re-chargeable battery but I don't know how much cheaper that would be. You can look for the battery on the internet.

I love my dustbuster. I don't know if the carpetflick can get in the corners as well as the dustbuster, it doesn't look like it could, but maybe I'm wrong..

I picked up a hand held Dirt Devil with an extendable handle about 3 years ago that is fantastic. You can use it cordless, or it has an adapter included so you can also plug it in and use it...I have had several hand helds over the years and I have found it by far the best for picking up especially kitty litter.

I had this one (but when I moved out i left it with my mom for her rabbit.) It works VERY well!!!!!! And it picks up EVERYTHING! It's also less expensive than most.

I am thinking about adding one of these to my bridal registry after reading a lot of really positive reviews on them.

I like the idea of cord & cordless My dh thinks it is the switch. Once you turn it on.. it'll work then slowly die down He said he is going to take it apart & try to fix it. But keep the reviews coming, I'm sure we'll need them

I love my Dirt Devil hand vac. I've had it for 7 years and it gets the cat hair off of my furniture, just fine.
