Since and all of my animals are altered, (well, both of my cats are boys anyway), I'm not sure what signs to look for in a female in heat.
My foster mom cat is here with her 3 week old kittens. She's been VERY vocal the last few days. I was wondering if she was in heat already. I don't recall what other signs there are. She's trying to escape her foster room and meowing the sadest, deepest meow you'll ever hear.
She will be spayed when the babies are old enough to be altered as well, so in a month and a half they'll all have their surgery.
