As some of you know I have a 12 week old Chocolate point Siamese kitten named Titan

Well since we brought him home he is been trying to chew/suck on myself and bf.
He has decided to leave Rob alone, but with me it has not stopped but he only seems to do it when I am in bed, and only to my finger tips. I have to hide my fingers in the blankets and lay on them, hide them under the pillows and he will not give up on trying to get them. He does it in a very loving way, but it is totally odd to me

I looked it up, cause I thought it was suckling, but he does not need when he is doing it, just purr.
It has gotten to the point that I have to put him in a crate at night in my room so that he can't get to me.

Does anyone have a suggestion??

Thanks
Autumn

That seems to be not terribly uncommon behavior in cats. I've read that it might be caused by the kitten being weaning too early.

In any case, you might try putting something yucky on your finger tips (bitter apple maybe?). That might break him of the habit.

It goes away in time but can drive you crazy. Try giving him a something to snuggle with. I have a stuffed dog that I used to give to one of my fosters with that issue.

One tip---when you make your decision not to let him do it, don't break down and let him do it once because you feel bad. That's why my ear got bruised last night--and it HURT, believe me.
