Since Karen's on vaca, I'm going to fill in for her!

Do you really get your oil changed every 3,000 miles?

I just bought an '07 Toyota Camry. I only have to get my oil changed every 5000. My boyfriend and I are both really into cars though so I do get my oil changed on time.

New vehicles do not need oil changes every 3000 miles I thinks its now 7500 miles.
Anyhow Neil uses synthetic oil and changes it only once/year!!

huh! I've heard the 5,000 but never 7500
that synthetic thing might be worth it

Once you go full synthetic remember that you cant go back... Just a key point I thought I would throw in. Granted, synthetic is better (cost more too) but once you do it you have to stick with synthetic from then on...

Absolutely. A "minor" routine thing like that is very beneficial for the running of your car long term. I am rigid about doing it timely.

No Im bad. I just get them every once in a while. My ex-husband used to change the oil and I never had to think about it so now I forget.

John does it whenever get gets a "new" car... cause the car has usually been sitting in a field for 20 years, LOL. The cars usually don't stick around long enough after that to need to change it again.
