My Honda is every 7500 miles but I get it done every 5000, since I only drive about 7500 miles a year. Yeah, I have low miles on my car.

We have a brand new car under warranty. We will be changing it every 3,000 miles for sure. And Mike doesn't have to change it anymore.
He's very happy about that.

With our old car it was approximately every 3,000 miles. Sometimes closer to 4,000. We used Mobile One oil, so it could take a little more. Older cars really like that stuff.

No.
Those guidelines were put out by oil companies to sell product.
I prefer, instead, to go by my vehicle manufacturer's recommendation of 5k to 10k depending on use.

Rob always says, "You can buy a lot of oil for the price of an engine job" so, yeah, we're pretty good about keeping up. Not OCD, but pretty good.

We have one new car for which I will be switching to synthetic oil when it hits 10k miles on the odo. I'll get the synthetic changed every 5k miles, since that car does a lot of cold starts and short trips. I still use dino oil in the old car, which gets changed every 3k miles. That car is mostly freeway driven.

This is why chicks should never be charged with vehicle maintenance. Most single women don't seem to mind driving around in some death trap with a couple of burnt-out light bulbs, a noticably soft tire or two, and about a cup full of sludgy tar in the engine's crankcase. What ever I ignore can't hurt me. La la la....

Hmm a little stereotypical but Im not going to take offense, because I have alot of knowledge on cars (compared to most females, no pun intended). I grew up with them... I definitely mind that Im overdue for an oil change, that is why Im putting the smack down on bf to do it. Sure I could myself, but where would the fun be in that?

Ahh gross generalizations

For what it's worth, I'm a tomboy, I have 4 brothers, and I pretty much grew up on a creeper

Heck no. I'm terrible about getting my oil changed. Shoot, I'm terrible about checking my oil.

Haha no way.
My oil gets changed when I start hearing the engine clicking.

Then it's an immediate change.

I'm so bad , I know...

Unfortunately, for my car, I am horrible with oil changes...It's probably closer to every 7,000-10,000 miles....ugh. I just always forget, then procrastinate.
