We found this girl a few days ago on the side of the road. When I got out of the car to approach her, she just huddled in a little ball. I got her home and found that she is declawed and not injured. I am doubtful she lived very far from the road, as she was so terrified of the outside! I have called two police stations, three animal control centers, placed on ad in a local paper, placed an ad on air on a radio station, and put up fliers every where. Tomorrow I will have her checked for a microchip, as a lot of shelters microchip cats before they adopt them out. This girl has really come out of her shell in the last day, and is very lovable. I can't believe no one has claimed her yet! Is she a dilute tortie or torbie? I am trying to describe her to people, but I am a bit stuck on that one!

I am beginning to think that she was dumped....she was too afraid to move when I found her, so I can't imagine she was a traveler, and I posted signs all over the area (as well as notified a ton of authorities). GRRR! Lets hope I am wrong!

Great, first they declaw a cat, then they dump her... Yeah, that's a real cat lover there. >

Watch out for litter box problems--common cause of abandoned declawed kitties...

Awww, she is beautiful.

I am glad that you found her.

Are you going to keep her if you can't find her owner (assuming they are looking for her and want her back).

That is a wonderful thing that you did to take her in and away from potential danger, you deserve a round of applause from Barkley, Petunia and myself!

I'm sorry but you do not know the owner. I see you are new but always check the dates of posts.  This was posted over SIX YEARS ago, in 2007.  I hope your friends find their cat, but this isn't it.

Yes - that would not be your neighbor's stolen.

Please don't post personal numbers and information on a public forum. I do hope that your neighbor's find their cat.
