I'm hoping you meant 'cranky'.

But yeah, I agree...after this thread... I find myself paying more attention to what I write about and what other threads are out there in the CL. I have definetly realized one thing- noone cares about my personal life.... so I don't even talk about it even more. But I still like reading about other peoples, because I'm bored at work...hehe!

I don't think that is necessarily true. I think that people who have gotten to know you and have given you advice really do care. It shouldn't matter what we post about. If people do not care, they can just skip over that thread. Some people may not be as fortunate as others to have many friends or family to depend on and have no other outlets to voice their fears, hopes, or concerns. If just one person offers meaningful advice, then I think it is worth the effort and importance that that person put into the thread.
There are people that care on TCS. It's just a matter of finding the right ones because as you may well know there are many people who do have access to this site and you never know who all is on TCS.

Your welcome! I'm one of those unfortunate people, but I get by at times.

Duchess, in all seriousness now, you are right. Some of us are lucky to have good friends and family around us. Not everyone is so blessed and I think it's wonderful that TCS is a place where we can all come and be supportive of one another. I know we get together here mainly because we all are cat lovers, but we are people too and I personally think there are a lot of fine and wonderful people here. We may not always agree on politics, religion, raising children or whatever, but we can be there when someone needs to reach out and just hear some encouraging words. Things that may seem trivial to some of us are devastating to others who have nobody to talk to or share the burden with.

I'm glad we are here and that we feel free to post our feelings and thoughts.

The other good thing is that if someone posts something and you aren't interested or can't help, or even just don't want to deal with it, we have the option to ignore it. And the way I feel about it is that if we don't have any good feelings about it, then "walk away". IMO is great that we can all agree to disagree if that be the case. In the lounge there are folks that just need to let things out for whatever reason. Sometimes there doesn't have to be a reason - we're just having a generally bad day.

I, for one, am glad to be here and yes, there are times I see threads that I think, "Oh heavens, what now" - but then I think about how lucky I am to just have to pick up the phone to cry on a good friend's shoulder or be held in my husband's arms when I'm feeling bad and I'd like to be able to share that comfort with someone who doesn't have that warm body there for themselves.

Other than trolls and spammers, TCS has exceptional members who truly care about each other and that's something to cherish - you don't get that very often in real life and to have it here is special.

It has been so much nicer here lately. I'm sensing much less crankiness.

It seems that someone has eaten a couple of fluffernutters.

I swear, it wasn't me.

No more Cranky Day, lol!
