Lupe

I know this site is for cats but I hope you won't mind if I post about my dad's dog, Lupe.

Tomorrow morning she is scheduled to be put to sleep. The vet is coming out to my dad and step-mom's house. She's been around for 16 wonderful years. She's had a loving, fun, fullfilling life with my dad and step-mom.

As she's aged she's become very overweight (the vet said she has fat tumors) and has terrible arthritis in her legs. She can hardly get herself up and when she finally does she is only able to walk about 5 feet before she has to lay down again. She's obviously in pain and it's sad to watch her.

Please say a prayer for my dad, step-mom, and Lupe if you will.

Awww, you know I will. Sure am sorry to hear that about Lupe. My condolences to you and your family. I know it is the hardest thing in the world to let go; but it sounds like your dad knows that it is for the best for his best friend, and that's the right way to look at it. We have to put them before us.

My condolences to you and your family. I know it is such a heartbreaking decision to make, but she will be healthy and free from pain again.

Please let your dad and step-mom know that I will be thinking about them tomorrow. I know how their hearts are breaking right now, and I know how sad they will be tomorrow.

I am sending hugs and prayers for them from Mississippi, please make sure that they get them.

Tell them that Lupe will be healthy once again and he will be able to run around the Bridge. I hope Lupe finds my beloved Sambo, Sambo will play with him.

I know how hard it is to let go of a loved one.
Just be sure to let your Dad and Step-Mom know that Lupe knows how much they love her and that they are doing the right thing.
