Yes, as someone famously wrote about Marlene Dietrich -- "All sex and no gender."

Somebody remind me what movie I'm remembering Taye Diggs from -- he was at the very beginning, almost like an announcer or emcee, and he was great... but I can't place the movie! Help?

And I have to ask... is there anyone else here who just doesn't like Patrick Swayze at all? I've never been able to enjoy him, and I think it's because he seems (a) a little narcissistic and (b) a little less than bright.

Those are total dealbreakers for me -- George Clooney himself would no longer interest me if he were dumb and in love with his own looks!

There are only 2 men I'd leave my dh for - Jack Black and Sam Elliott! There's just something about a funny man and a REAL cowboy. Y-U-M-M-Y.

Oh gawd I almost forgot about him! I love the character he plays though. Something about the sarcastic guy that's so... 'loveable'.

but talking of this, my daughter who is 9 has her first crush , zak efron SP? troy from high school muscial. omg her eyes light up when his on the telly, i had a little chat with her the other day about ( she gets very shy about these things) and i just let her know that it was ok for her to like him and that its natrual. she went very red bless her and just smiled at me.
see normally boys are ikky to her lol.
Wow. So that movie really is a world-wide hit. Was your dtr able to see HSM2 on Friday night?

My oldest HAD to see Hairspray b/c Zac was in it. It took her a couple of minutes to figure out who he was, he dyed his hair black.

And yes- Troy is a cutie. My oldest likes him. The youngest likes Corbin Bleu.

Man- the money Disney is making off of a movie about a bunch of high schoolers. Almost as bad as Ms. Rowling who's made millions off of a book about a boy who's a wizard.

I have this thing for older, English, blue eyed men for some reason
Hugh, Alan Rickman, Daniel Craig & Richard E Grant.

Are there any celebrity crushes that have stuck with you for years, and you will defend till your last breath?

Excuse me while i go and have a rest from all this mental exercise
Is Alan Rickman the guy who played Emma Thompson's husband in "Love, Actually"? I found him very sexy for some reason, not to mention Hugh Grant. I think his commentary in his films makes him even sexier because he's funny.
As a kid, I had a crush on (in this order) John Lennon, Davey JOnes and David Cassidy.
Now, I think that Jude Law is such eye candy. Ooh, baby.

Okay, then you remember the moment when Sam made his first appearance in "Mask." When he rode up on his motorcycle, every woman in the theatre made this strange "ummmm" noise. It was hysterical!!!

Wait---are you saying you do or you don't like George Clooney? I think funny men are very sexy.
As for Patrick Swayze, there's something too---I don'tknow--feminine(?) about him. I don't find him attractive at all.

That reminds me... when I was in high school, I went with some friends to see "The Way We Were" in the theater. And there was that scene when Roosevelt had just died and everyone was in shock... and Katie walked into this dimly lit bar and there was Robert Redford in his white Navy uniform, fast asleep sitting up on a barstool. Through that smoky room, dressed all in white, he just seemed to glow, like some kind of angelic presence. And all us girls sighed the same little helpless sigh...

Oh my.

Oh my gosh, I adore George Clooney! I'm just saying... no matter how handsome he is, I wouldn't care for him if he were dumb or narcissistic.

So see, if I met George Clooney and he took a shine to me and one thing led to another and we were just about to, ah, become better acquainted, but then I caught him admiring himself in the mirror... forget it! I'm outta here, prissyboy!

...yeah right...
