Lily wanted some more food this morning, so I quickly put some in Oberon's dish. She looked at the dish, then looked up at me with a "You're joking, right?" expression. I had to dump the food into her dish, and then she happily started eating.

Anybody else have a cat who is attached to her dish?

Oh goodness no. Scratch will eat anything. That includes carpet lint.

My 3 cats all have their own bowls and wont eat out of each others bowls. One can be empty and the other 2 completely full, but that one cat will be meowing and begging and trying to kill you by walking in front of you until you fill the empty bowl...

Yes, Sassy (Miss Picky) won't eat in the dish that the other two have eaten out of. She has to have her dish!!

nope, can't say I have that problem! I feed their wet on paper plates and while some will not share with others, it's basically a free for all

My cat Sassy will only eat out of his own bowl.
Linus being the little pigley wig that he is will eat whatever is infront of him, no matter what it is in, or if it is suppose to be his to begin with. He not fussy he will eat anything that doesn't move and if it does move he will smack it with his paw and then eat it anyway....he likes bugs.

I Tosh will go and take bites off each of the plates and Snickers can't stand having anyother cat's slobber on her food. So I have to stand by and make sure Tosh stays on one plate and leaves Snickers food alone. She would rather STARVE then get Tosh's germs

Both of mine will eat out of either bowl but seen to prefer Frankie's. Her's is always empty first and I know it's because they are both eating out of it.

Pickle loves her dish!
It's a double sided one, left food and right water.
You should have seen the look in her face when I swapped them around!

She refused to eat until I put it right!

Not since the old family Siamese, Kanarus was still alive.

She would eat nothing if it wasn't in her dish.
There was some construction going on next to our old house and she spent every day out there yelling and screaming at the construction workers for disturbing her world.

I guess they got fed up with it and apparently threw some poisoned meat down onto our deck, but she wouldn't touch it.
My dog, unfortunately spent 2 weeks in ICU and 1 month total in the hospital for eating it.

Where whiskers abound.
My cats have their own bowl, they won't eat out of each other's bowls. Out of spite, Mittens used to eat out of Cassy's bowl when Cassy first came here.

They do share the same water bowl, though. My dog and cats' water bowls are next to each other and my dog KNOWS not to drink water from the cats' bowls, his bowl is larger.

My kids complain when doing the dishwasher that there are more cat bowls than anything else.

nah.....my cats will eat from any dish I think. Even though they all 3 have the same bowl, I don't think it would matter if their bowls were different. I have the stainless steel bowls with the black rubber ring on the bottom. I used different color paint pens and put their names on the ring because they used to eat different food. Now, they all eat the same thing.

I'm happy to hear Lily isn't the only weird kitty around!

Holy cow, what is wrong with some people?
I'm glad your kitty didn't eat it, and I'm glad to hear your dog was eventually O.K.!
