I have had my 2 kittens now for about 48 hours. They are 5 days old. The white one pooed right after I go them and made a teeny poo a couple hours later. The black kitten, on the otherhand, has not yet pooed.
Am I doing something wrong?

They are eatin a lot and are both very active and have stable temps. At what point should I be worried and take em to a vet?

I just read this on the kitten-rescue site:

"Constipation
If your kitten has not passed a stool in 24 hours, you can dilute his formula or add 2 drops of vegetable oil to his bottle. Alternatively, you can give him a little dab (about the size of a match head) of Laxatone. If he does not pass a stool in 48 hours, take your kitten to a vet. Never attempt to give a kitten an enema and never give anything like store bought Fleets enema to your kitten. The phosphorus inside is deadly for cats. Your vet can help you with the problem of constipation best"

I have olive oil and corn oil, would either of those work?

i would definately use vegetable oil, that is all i've read to use. I had the same problem with Kricket the first few days and i felt terrible but i realized that it was from having mothers milk, then premade KMR to KMR powder mixed by me. That is known to back them up a little bit. If you are taking their temperatures, sometimes that helps them poop. I would also call your vet and get their thoughts on this. Good Luck

Erm, if they're five days old, have you been stimulating them? Or have they just been "going" on their own?

If you haven't stimulated them, then you want to take a warm damp papertowel and be prepared, because they're going to potty... roll them over on their backs, and take the warm wash cloth in a downward motion (in the direction of starting at their tummy and moving down toward their genitals). This will stimulate them to potty (momma does this).. just be prepared to catch it in the papertowel.

Yes, I've been stimulating them.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give my vet a call and see what she says.

Yeah, probably best. When they're that tiny... it's so easy for them to get under the weather quickly.

Best of luck and please keep us posted on how they're doing! Sending lots of good luck vibes your way.
