Hi,

My cat had her kittens yesterday morning, I'm not sure if they are boys or girls yet, the black one was first, then the 2 ginger and then the tabby. They all weighed around 100 gramms when I weighed them last night.

Here they are;

and individually;

Aww - you have two red tabbys, a black, and a brown patched tabby. The patched tabby is a female, so you can use her to sex the other ones. More then likely the reds are both boys, and the black can be either.

The dark tabby is more likely tortie, so definately a girl.

My Ziggy had 2 red boys a black and white girl and a tortie girl.

The boys 'regions' were further from the anus and much more swollen. The girls seemed much flatter.

Congratulations on your new babies!!!

Congrats on the babies. Keep showing us their progress.

Not to hijack the post, but I have a question on the quote above...I have had about 2 dozen foster kittens, 6 of which have been red/orange tabbies. Three of which were female, three male. (I counted on my fingers twice to double check
) Are orange tabbies usually male? I never knew that. Learn something new everyday!!

99% of the time reds are male, but from what i have heard females are getting more common.

same as tricolours 99% are normally female, if you do get a male normally they are infertile.
im sure that is what i have read. if im wrong someone please correct me.

Hmm, I never knew tri-colors to ever be males. And like I said, I've been 50/50 on the red tabbies. Thanks for the info!

So how are your new babies doing? Can't wait to see more pics!!

They are soooooooo cute. I'm afraid I couldn't see the last one on her own, is she! a tortie? I had read a no. of years ago that 85% of orange tabbies were male. Calicos are the same as torties 99% female I would think.
