It's been raining every day for like three days now. Lukily it hasn't rained much today yet and me and the DH were able to get the grass mowed. It's supposed to rain the rest of the week. Is anyone else getting alot of rain?

None here where we live in Florida. We are supposed to be getting our daily thunderstorm, but haven't seen one for about a month. It's sooooo hot here, and the sun has cooked our grass brown.

Oklahoma was hit by a tropical storm, several counties were declared a disaster area. Lots of flooding and wind damage. Luckily it skipped my town, we only got 4 1/2"-5" of rain yesterday.

we just started getting it yesterday

Just in time, otherwise I would've had to start watering the plants my landlord just planted.

With our drought going on we haven't mowed our lawn for a good 35-40 days.
Now that we got a good 2" well we have to see how the turf recovers. However we have some might big thistles in the lawn and other weeds that seemed to survive quite well without the rain.

I get tons of thistle weeds in my yard. Also I got a bunch of stupid mulberry trees growing all over.

Were getting a nice amount here. My grass was mowed for the first time last weekend in like 3-4 weeks. Right now it's still pretty brown. It's gonna need some time to recover. The area between my house and my neighbors (doesn't belong to us) where the water runs down is a nice deep dark green!

I hate the rain.

I live in SE MN and my townhouse is under water and we've lost about everything we own... yeah, we've got some rain. We got about 10 inches in 7 hours, my lake in my backyard is now in my living room.

Our town has been on the news for 2 days straight and we've had 6 people die on our town & 1 man is still missing. News helicopters have been circling my apartment complex since yesterday morning & I'm running on about 4 hours of sleep since then... if anyone would like some water, I'll send it your way, gladly.

We're from The City. Poor Kingfisher and El Reno! The rivers are as full as I can ever remember seeing them - especially the Red River.
In the Metroplex, we are just coming off of a 3 year drought. Without the wonderful rain this summer, we would have been restricted from any outside watering. And the summer has been milder than usual.

I live just outside the area that had all the severe flooding, and the other day I heard the official rain total for your area was 17.5 inches of rain in 24 hours!!!!! All that rain coming down so fast and for so long Saturday night really scared me!

I heard your area was experiencing a severe drought!!!! Actually, a lot of MN was experiencing the worst drought in 19 years. But then last Saturday night southern Minnesota was hit by one severe thunderstorm right after another which resulted in major flooding and caused some people to lose their lives!!!!!

So, just a word of warning...what happened to us
could happen to you too!!!!!

Be careful what you wish for!

Yea last I heard this is the most severe drought ever recorded.... fun fun! I feel sorry for the campers at the race track right now! I'm sure they're hating this! And probably more people are trying to swim in the creeks!
Its rained once in the past month I think, but the showers are so random that one place will get a lot of rain but it wont even sprinkle in other parts.

We ended up with 25 inches of water in our townhouse and STILL havent been able to access our home because of it. I'm never wishing for rain again, because its cost me everything I own
