Can you hold them like a baby?

Only Ivory.
Heaven forbid you even look like you want to kiss Vash, he'll squirm and cry so mournfully.
You'd think that kisses hurt to see his reaction.

Nope, not any of them!!!

Stumpy deals with it for about 2 seconds then kicks out until she can get down.

Lily gets too scared, and just freaks out

Smudge makes a little squealy, growly sound while kicking out - it's so funny that we try to cuddle her like that just to hear the sound

All our girls love attention and pats, but aren't lap cats, and hate being held!

Taters loves it but Thomas, Minnie, and Gradie...NO WAY!!!! They would rather scratch my eyeballs out than be held like that. Nelson is still a baby so it's still to early to tell.

At the kitty's beck and call
All of them except Addie - she had such a rough time I wouldn't like to frighten her by turning her on her back.

But Tippy, Felicity, Tolly and Lily love to carried like a baby. In fact, they happily go for a walk around the garden with me like that and show me which flowers or trees they'd like me to hold them near for sniffing

All of mine are like this except Tino and he's an over the shoulder boy. Mine will sometimes turn their heads down so they are upside down and I know that they want to be carried upside down especially Ducky.

Pekoe is like a giant stuffed animal in my arms. He's getting a bit... tubby now though so I don't often pick him up.

Nigel gets all tense if I approach him when he doesn't want it, so I don't attempt it too much.

Funnily enough, the only one who I can hold like a baby who LOVES it , is my Lily who we got as an adult preggers stray a couple of months ago.

My other two babies that I've raised since they were barely 5 weeks old don't allow it at all!!!

I've never really thought about it or wondered why.
Maybe poor Lily just needs that extra bit of comfort.

When Clyde was just an eight-week kitten in the shelter where I was volunteering, I held him like a baby every day for the three weeks it took me to figure out that he was supposed to be my baby. (
be my, be my baby...
...my one and only baby...
)

Kittens are not allowed to be on the floor there due to immunity issues -- it's either the cage or somebody's arms. So I'd sing to Clydie and rock him to sleep... he'd stretch up and nosekiss me and purr and pat my cheek... it was a total lovefest, and people kept saying, "When are you going to take that cat home?"

Finally, I did... and WHAM! That was the end of the baby-holding! As soon as Clydie was free to run, he put a stop to the holding -- but he does like a nice snuggly hug while he's on the desk beside me, or in bed.

Pearl won't fight me if I pick her up like a baby, but she widens those big green eyes at me in such horror and trills as if to say, "What did I do to deserve this, mama?"
So I never subject her to it for long.

It's weird isn't it?? Stumpy was also a pregnant stray, Lily was a part feral we've had since 3 months old, and Smudge we've raised since she was 3 weeks old and got constant love. 3 cats from completely different backgrounds and not one cares for laps or cuddles.

Silly kitties

Riley lets me hold him like a baby if he's in snuggle mode. Usually he's too busy running and playing though.

Alley thought it was undignified and wouldn't let me do it to her

Sassy loves to be held like a baby and will sleep like that in my arms for hours.
Linus is just starting to let me hold him like that now. It has been an ongoing process with him since I brought him home from the shelter. At first he didn't like to be picked up and held at all but now loves to be handled...
Guess my little guy has decided to keep me after all....

I can with my big babies, Gaia and Po, like that, especially Gaia, she loves it! I can't really hold Medusa, Circe or Demeter at all, and Sapphy, Nem, Deedle, Tig, Pandy and Electra tolerate being held for very short periods, Hades likes to be held, but he "sits" in my arms

Most of my boys you could hold like a baby. Most of the girls protested being held on their backs like a baby.

Now ALL kittens loved it, just when they got older the boys were still accepting of that position even if they were "alpha" type of cats
