Is someone going to have to make assignments for this??????

Anyway, its another raining/drizzly again
We are up a little over 2 inches in less than 40 hours-not as much as southern WI/MN however.
My lawn is actually looking a bit green again. And its still cool (about 62F)

I bought a Power Pruner and have to pick it up this afternoon (its looks like a chain saw blade on a string trimmer).

Made some scones and did some cleaning this morning too.

Not much else going on.

Going to see if I can walk in veg garden without sinking in the soil and pick some corn and tomatoes for dinner!!

I was wondering myself where the daily thread had went, it is the one thing I look for first when I log on.

Cloudy and cool here today, and I am really enjoying it. I as so tired of the heat that this is a real treat.

Off work today, decided a little R&R was in order been working way to much the last few weeks.
Not much planned for the day, heading over to Walmart after lunch just to do some window shopping, maybe buy the kitties some new toys, and treats...

Dinner and a Movie tonight, going to check out the Simpson movie which I haven't seen yet. Love the show though and have been a fan since back at the very beginning..

Made zucchini bread this morning, my brothers zucchini has overrun his garden and he giving away as much as he can. It turned out very yummy, I made two separate batches, one more nutmeg and walnuts. The other I added more cinnamon plus mashed banana's too..that one is
.

Yeah today is no fun for me either. Its raining and I'm fighting with my b/f also.. We have been for the past month.

Needing to use some of my PTO, before the end of the year, I'm off today. Slept until 9 and am actually feeling pretty good. I'll just use the day to catch up on some laundry and housework and loll on the couch with a book.

Oh thats terrible, I hope it wasn't DH that bought that word into a conversation.

I haven't noticed a daily thread here since Thursday, come to think of it, I don't recall seeing any posts from TroutsMom (sp?) since then either, I think she starts the daily threads?

I was wondering about that too. maybe Nat is on vacation?

Anyhoo, 3 more days and I'm off to NJ shore!! So excited to see my friend and where he lives (and interview too!
)

On a sadder scale my mom's cousin died yesterday. He was only 64 years old and was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Last week he went in to have his lung examined and the docs were 90% sure he had lung cancer. He came out of surgery finding out that the "tumor" was really benign.

Then yesterday he had a blood clot, stroke and died. I feel really bad for my great-aunt and her family. I also feel bad for my mom...he was her childhood friend.

I have been very busy and have little time for TCS nowadays.
