we try, we really do, to stay happy

I'm not Christian but I'm not offended in the least. It's very nice.

You know, you really should visit the Holy Land someday. I think you would find it very interesting. This place is saturated with ancient relics from Jesus time.

I live not so far from Nazareth and Tiberias and all the places where he lived (the same area code ). My morning walks are along an old Roman road which was probably a major road at the time. It is sometimes funny to think that my morning walks in the fields are possibly literally in the footsteps of Jesus...

Catarina, if you ever want to visit, I'll be happy to have you stay with us and to show you around!

your homeland sounds amazing . I hope I'm lucky enough to get to visit one day.

Catarina77777; Thank you. I will e-mail this to some special people. I had never come across this and I find it very beautiful. You are a precious soul and you spirit radiates the Light of His Love.

Anne; I, too wish to visit your homeland some day, but even if I can't in this life; I know I will be there when my Saviour re-enters the Eastern Gate!

The invitation applies to all of you! It's a great country and is not a dangerous place to visit!

Dear Everyone
You are all so encouraging...thank you...I was a bit worried to offend...but you confirmed my thoughts that this site holds the most beautiful people in the world.

Anne, my dream is to visit your country one day along with my Mother...we are both overwhelmed with the possiblity to visit one day. I would love to give her that gift.

I would love to meet you too.

Love & Peace to All,

PS... Darlene, that was the sweetest thing to say...thank you.

Catarina... I really enjoyed reading this thread....as I also enjoyed talking to you on the phone the other night....it was so great to put a voice with my friend!!! And to hear you talk, and to listen! I cherished that SO much!!!

I too am Christian...and I get very defensive when someone puts God down, or belittles him...they have No idea.

Gee...maybe we should start a religion thread here...just in case anyone wants it...we could all share our own opinions and beleifs I think, without flaming one another for their own beleifs. I think It could be very educational and enlightening...and if it helps even one person make it into the kingdom of god, that would be worth it.

Let me know if there is any interest in a thread like this...if not...no problem, just a thought.

Dearest little Sister :angel2:

ME TOO...it was so cool to talk to you and one day we will meet! I love you! You're the sweetest and your voice matches your angelic face

By the way, I think that's the most incredible idea in the world. I too would never condemn anyone's beliefs (I would however be very scared if someone was into the occult or an aethist...for these people do not wish to recognize their Saviour). I'm sure you understand.

It'd be kind of tricky...touch and go?? I guess we can try it...Go ahead...LOL

Love Big Sis,

Awww, Cat, I love you!!!'
And I think the religion thread would be a good idea...touch and go as you say, and if it didn't work, we could just scratch it. (as my cats would say...lol...)

Seriously, though....I will give it a shot....but I don't have time tonight, to start the thread, unles you want to. Hubby is mad at me...Merlin is limping for some reason...I am worried about Peaches, and I just don't have it in me to start the thread tonight.

Love Big Sis,
Dear Debby, :angel2:

Look up...lol...that's why I told "YOU" to start the thread...although it's a great thing to do to worship OUR LORD & SAVIOUR...the diversities in religious beliefs may be to broad and who knows...perhaps we'll have our first war on the Cat Site...

Let's think of how we can do this without any type of possible negative feedback...By the way, how's peaches? I hope she's much better.

Take Care Sis,
Love,

Catarina...Peaches is doing a little better...I gave a full report in the thread titled Things go from bad to worse...(or something like that....) that Chuck started.

And maybe we should just nix the religion thread for now...I sure don't want any wars here!!!

If anyone ever wants to discuss religion, they know where you, me and threeleggedkat stand, so they can contact us if they feel like talking privately.

Cant wait to talk to again!!! But I hate that your phone bill must have been high.

I envy you being in a place where history is so alive. I hope someday to be able to see it for myself.

:angel2: To visit the Holy Land would be a dream come true! You are so Blessed to live there even with all the unrest. If I had the chance to go I'd be gone in a flash:flash: My nephew has been there 3 times already! To walk the way & see the things Jesus did WOW

Bless You All

You're welcome! Anyone coming to visit here is invited as our guest!

I just may take you up on that!

Please do!

We have plenty of room in my in-laws house next door! And we're only one hour drive away from the Galilee, Nazareth and Tiberias. We're 10 minutes away from Cesaria (sp?) and 40 minutes away from Tel Aviv. Jerusalem is only 1.5 hours drive away from here (even less if the traffic is good). It's a very small country... I have my time on my hands as I work from home, so I can really show you some nice places.

I hope I can get some of you tempted
I sent it all the way around the world in email. *G* To bad I couldn't go with it. Then I could meet all of you and see Anne's homeland. To be able to walk in such rich HIStory would be so uplifting and remarkable. I too am Christian and have been since Jr. High. I welcome the fact that this board allows such subjects to be discussed without repercussions, and I welcome the fellowship your posts (and others) offer me.

Dear Everyone...

The Lord is so powerful...I don't know why and I shouldn't have even felt that this thread was not going to receive so much attention...but, He's so funny...He makes me realize how powerful His Word is and how human and doubtful I am. I thank Him for revealing that without too much embarrassment...but I know that he has forgiven me because I've shared Him with others, and His blessings are with me throughout the day. I'm so happy to see all of you enjoying "The Christian Alphabet" as much as I did... :angel2:
Catarina; The Apostle Paul said that we are never closer to God than when we are angry with him; and right now I am very angry, because I feel like a lot of things are happening to me that I don't think I deserve.

Then something as simple as your posting The Christian Alphabet; and the positive responses it received, made me ashamed that I don't do more to proclaim my faith.

I am sorry for the times I have let Him down and maybe the events of the past week will humble me.

Dear Darlene,

Oh boy, I have first hand experience being angry with God...sometimes, I don't understand how he just puts up with me! :badgood: :goodbad: He knows we all fall short of Him; we're not perfect and at times we try to take control of everything and mess it up! He's there for us to give all of our problems too. Imagine that...he wants my problems...lol...I don't know anyone that else that wants 'em.

For me, humility is the best way to keep my eye on my soul. When I'm humble I give and I can't believe I receive so much back.

Darlene, you didn't let the Lord down...you think that...whavever you did...just let it go and start fresh...everday. I know I feel the same way at times, but I need people like you that would say this very same thing to me. He knows your heart is good. frustrations are so normal because we all stop and look into the other direction instead of following him. The "I can do it myself" mode... ...wrong! For now, perhaps reflect upon what is so good in your life...and thank Him for that..Every situation I've ever been in, has turned itself around somehow for the best.

Cat, Darlene, Hissy....

I am so glad that others feel the same way I do! It really makes me realize that I am not alone.
Like the bible says....all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
But the wonderful thing is that no matter how many times we mess up, and for me it is daily, I think....he is there with his arms open, ready to forgive us. How beautiful is that?!!!

I said something to my brother recently (who is a Christain also) and his reply just really made me stop and think, and I thought it was so cool that I want to share it with you...

A few months after dad died, my brother was telling me that as executor of his will, that I would be getting some land and some money. I said to him, "But I didn't do anything to deserve it!!! Dad worked hard all his life to have what he had, and I have done nothing for it, except that I am his daughter!!" ( I felt guilty... undeserving)
My brother said to me, " But Debby...it's just like with God...we havent done anything to deserve what he has in store for us in heaven, but we will have it, because he is our father and he loves us and wants us to have it."
I thought that was so beautiful it made me cry.

You just made me cry...what a wonderful brother you have! Yes, and it's very true that the Lord wants us to have our inheritance He has promised with Him too!

Love you and God Bless You Always,

I am not Christian, but I thought your alphabet post was lovely. And it certainly did not offend me. There is so little religious tolerence in the world, no one should have to feel like they have to hide from or apologize for there spiritual beliefs no matter what they may be.
