Well for the last 2 months I have been working on my weight issue. I am a small framed person and I weighed 160. All the gain was in my breasts, stomach, butt and thighs. I started tracking my calories and saw I was only eating 800 or less calories a day. So I started by upping by calories to 1400-1500 per day. Then I slowly added in exercise though I have been slacking in that dept. But mowing grass for 2 days every 2weeks makes up for some of the slacking. Just 1 hour of mowing with a push mower burns 220 calories.

So as of today I am down to 139.

I hid my weight so well when I was 160 no one has even noticed I lost this much weight. A friend of mine recently lost 80lbs just by exercise and calorie counting.

That's great!! I'm 47, 5' tall and weight 135, but my "fight weight" is 120 (sounds like alot, but I don't look healthy at any weight under that). I did manage to lose 10 lbs by counting calories. Exercise is what I need, though. I sit home all day and transcribe on my computer for work and that doesn't help. I did do a 2-mile walk yesterday with my husband and it felt great when I got home and noticed my calves were going "OUCH!!"
You lost weight by doing it the RIGHT way--not by using any miracle weight loss products. Congrats!!

I do I have 2 exercise tapes that I do at home as well. One is Walk Away the Pounds and Richard Simmons. Plus I cut out caffeine drinks. all I drink is water plus 2 8oz glasses of milk a day.

I used to do this yoga tape, but the last 20 minutes is "relaxation" and I got so relaxed, I practically fell asleep on the floor! I have to have my coffee in the a.m. and after dinner (total of 2 cups a day with soy milk). It's harder to lose weight when you're an old grey mare like me.
I used to go to Jazzercise and exercise more before I got married, and I'm not close to anybody here in FL, otherwise, I would go to the Jazzercise classes in the area. I feel weird going alone.

IA. If you need me, just meow..
me too.
Oh well, if my stomach keeps up the way it's going, I'll loose weight soon too.

I've had a weird stomach "thing" for a few days now. I thought I kicked it and ate WAY to much last night, only to find out that I was SO wrong. I woke up today with stomach cramps again and was stuck on the potty for an hour. It's been so fun, tossing my cookies or "the dreaded other way" and having to work the whole time. ICKY!!!

Congrats on your wonderful weight loss!!!! I'm jealous! Wish I had the will power.

I don't kow if I can post this link so if anyone wants it PM me. There is a website forum I have visited during this process that has helped me alot during this process. There are many men and women that have lost a ton of weight without drugs and what not. Posting there has really helped me.

P&N yeah I do feel a lot better. Like I stated I am small framed so my body did not handle the 30 extra pounds well. My knees hurt a lot if I stood for longer then 30 mins, my hips were giving me problems as well as my archs. So dropping 20 pounds really helped to make me feel better.

I have probably said this already but I will say it again. Drink lots of water. I drink between 80-110 oz a day. And within the first 2 1/2 weeks lost 8-10lbs just by drinking only water.

Me too!

Actually my doctor was worried because I put on 20 lbs in ONE MONTH!!! Had to get tested for gestational diabetes (after being tested twice it came back negative). So I watch what I eat now and try to walk more.

But awesome job with the weight loss!!! Becareful with rapid weight loss though, sometimes it creeps back. Sounds like you have a great plan though. Good luck!

counting down until graduation!!
Congratulations! I have been on the weight loss roller coaster all of my life. It is hard to keep the weight off for me. I have been watching what I eat and trying to consume less for about 3 months now and have lost 18 lbs. Your 21 in 2 months is awesome! Keep it up!
