This boy is confusing me!

I just don't know what is wrong now..Pierre, my 2 year old fixed cats was on antibiotics and eye drops for a eye infection...It cleared up for a good week then all of a sudden both his eyes were infected, so I started him on his eye drops again, this has since cleared it up. Now he is not himself, he doesn't want to be picked up, he sleeps all day, isn't interested in his food. What could be the problem...I know he needs to be brought back to the vet...but I'm tempted to wait it out and see if he picks up with in the next few days...I'm having a problem monitoring his food/water intake as well as his litter box use.....I have 2 other cats ...any ideas???

Take him to the vet!

I would not wait it out if you can't monitor his eating and potty habits. Cats can quickly become dehydrated and could die if they aren't eating and drinking enough. The fact that he is sleeping all the time and isn't interested in his food seems like a sure sign something isn't right.

Better be safe than sorry, imo.

My vet says that if it is their eyes, to NEVER wait it out. It could be something completely unrelated to his eyes causing him to be lethargic.

With him being lethargic and not eating, those are signs of something else going on, so off to the vet pronto!! No time to waste!
