My cat, Miss Sassy La Rue, is two and just killed her first lizard. (She's an indoor cat and we live in Texas, the lizards like play inside sometimes.) Since her kill she's thrown up food and today started to throw up a foamy/white vomit. She's been eating, drinking, peeing and poohing and, relatively, acting normally.

Since this is a new situation for this kitty mom, should I watch and wait with careful observation or do I need to rush her to the vet?

Thank you in advance and I'm glad that I found this forum.

Welcome to TCS! It sounds like you have quite a hunter on your hands!

When did she eat the lizard?

If you are concerned, it would be worth giving the vet a call and see if they think you should bring her in.

(ps: my parents live in tx, too, and have had lizards in the house - it's a strange thing to come upon inside. I'm impressed she caught one! and I hate when they make their tail fall off to keep from being caught!).

She caught the lizard on Thursday, early morning. Also, the tail did fall off but I guess the lizard wasn't spry enough to get away. The funny thing is that she is declawed and was able to still kill it. I don't know if the lizard bit her at all, I can't find any marks.
