Yes I know the majority wouldn't be excited about that but our drought situation has become quite grim. Many smaller municipalities were doing water rationing and the farm crop-disaster!!
One of my vendors who also farms same area farmers in northern half of WI are losing $20/acre for each day without rain. Soybean crop most likely gone already.
It hasn't been raining hard but steady and more predicted for the rest of today and the next couple of days too.

Rain

We've been getting afternoon thundershowers and someone was complaining here - I set him straight that after several summers of drought, we like rain and that he should not scare it away.

Hopefully, it will be just enough rain and there won't be any flooding

Rain is alway welcome after a dry spell.

In my part of the world it's been raining for WEEKS!!!
Two consecutive typhoons and the monsoon rains.
Ay, it's depressing.

I am so jealous -- I wish it would rain here. And I totally hate people that complain about rain we we're in dought! Do they not get the idea that rain is a good thing?

We had thunderstorms and rain all day yesterday which was great. The fire rating in my area was extreme and we really needed it. Today was great sunny, and cool for a change. It was a nice change from the scorching temps we have been having.

The rain clouds began moving in here earlier this evening

I just feel bad for the farmers...last week I went to our local farmers market and as much as I support the local farmers, they were charging $4 for a pint of tomatos...that didn't look so hot.
So I bought a bouquet of sunflowers instead that only lasted 3 days.

I just checked out Weather Channel and its GREEN for the 100 mile radius!!
