Can you guys help me decide on a new name for Rupert? None of my family members or friends like his name at all. What do you all think would be a good name?

Over the river and through the woods...
He is a beauty! I love his eyes!
I like Rupert too (maybe drop the "Sir"), but he kinda looks like and Oscar to me. Does he answer to Rupert? Or, as much as a cat will answer...as in look at you, twitch an ear to acknowledge, and go about his business?
If so, you will probably want to keep the name he knows.

Oh, he looks like a sweetie

Do you want to keep an "R" name? Do you want a people-name, or is something like "Ruffles" or "Rags" OK?

Thanks!! Your guys are so great!!! I love this place.

I don't think he knows his name (Rupert)......I think I like Romeo. I'll have to try that. This is such a hard decision!!!

I think Rupert is an ok name, but every time I tell somene his name is Rupet they look at my like I'm crazy and say "eeehwww....why THAT name?"

I'm having the same dilemma with my kitty (I think he's mostly Ragdoll, too!)
and he's also 5 months old. My granddaughter named him Snowball, and that's what I've been calling him - that or "Snowy", but it just doesn't seem to be the right name.
I like 'Rupert" and also 'Romeo' for your kitty. He is a beautiful kitty.
Do you know who his mother and father are?? How much does he weigh now? They get really big, don't they? Mine weighs 7 pounds already.
Congratulations! Do you have other animals?
Nancy

Hi Nancy!!!

He is only about 5 lbs. right now. He is a little skinny because he had a tough start to his life. I don't know who his parents are. He was abandoned along with his litter mates. He was found infested with fleas and earmites. I adopted him through a rescue organization. When I got him last week, I discovered that he also had tapeworm (from the fleas) and a bad cold. He is getting much better now.

Yes, they get VERY big. Males can get up to 20 lbs.!!!!!

I have 2 other cats and a dog.

Post a picture of your baby and we can help you name him!!

I'll never understand how people can be so cruel! There are so many adoption places for both cats and dogs! It's sad...
We found Snowball along the road where my daughter and her husband take morning walks. He also had fleas and earmites; but, thankfully no worms.
I will try to post a picture, but I'm a newbie and I have to learn how to do it.
I've been reading about it on one of the links here, but it's kind of confusing!
He is all white, blue eyes, and has beige on his tail and ears and nose area.
I haven't had a cat since I was a very little girl and have really had to study to learn their habits, etc. I have a 10-year-old female dog, and she is tolerating Snowball, but I know she'd rather have things back the way they were! I'm very proud of her for allowing him to harrass her all the time.
Hopefully they'll be best of friends before long.
What do your other cats and your dog think of him??
