help with downloading brushes??

well i normally use deviantart for my brushes, normally when i go to download it says brushfile and i dont normally have any problems with loading this into my photoshop, since i got cs3 i have downloaded brushes but the file always says unkown and when i go to load brushes it wont let me??

also how do you download different text?

forgot to add, i can use the brushes i downloaded when i had cs2 with no problems.


ok i can download brushes again, i was putting them in the wrong folder.

For the text, if you go into your Windows folder, there will be a separate folder for "fonts". Put any of the fonts you download into there and they should show up.

As far as the brushes, I honestly have no idea. Could it be that the brushes can't be used with CS3?

its ok i sorted the brush files out thats working fine again.

with the text fonts, the problem im also having is finding them to download.
like with the brushes it normally says *in photoshop brushes* what would it say for the fonts? i have tried everything to find it and i cant lol. thank for replying.

You don't install it into Photoshop folders, it is usually

c://windows/fonts (obviously if you have windows rather than something else)
