Kitten died, wondering why.

Well, my second kitten died after we only had him for three weeks. He was fine all day today. When I got home, he was sitting in a shoe. He has had a cold. Well, later on, we found him head first in the shoe. We took him out and put him inside because he was having trouble breathing. After that, he just laid there and meow'ed, like he was in pain or something. Then later on, he died. I was wondering what could have caused this sudden death.

If any one has any ideas, please speak up.

Where did you get this kitten?
How old was he?
Had he been seen by a vet?
Did the cold get treated by a vet?

It's hard to determine what could have caused the death...but if there were signs that he was ill, did you call your vet? Sometimes things come on FASTTTT and they need immediate medical attention.

I'm sorry for your loss.
That precious baby isn't in pain anymore.

when kittens get sick they go down hill very quickly which is why they need a vet asap. if you didnt take him to the vet then there is no way of telling what was wrong and why he died. im sorry for your loss.
