ok, i have a rather annoying issue with my 4 month old kitten and even the vets i've talked to have never heard of the problem.

my cat was fine for the first month or so, but then we began finding quite a bit of cat waste around the house. it has litter mixed in with it, so she's not 'relieving' herself around the house, rather bringing it there. she balls it up into balls in her litter pan and then carries it around the house and plays with it. now, this isn't a once in a while thing; this happens EVERY DAY! has anybody ever heard of this happening and have any suggestions on what to do? the vet recommended purchasing a self-cleaning litter pan, but who knows if this will work? maybe she'll get sad that she has no poop to play with and start doing it outside of the litter pan! any suggestions will be much appreciated!

Well, I can relate strangly enough.

My Spaz used to do the very same thing as a youngster.

If it makes you feel any better, she did outgrow it.

My only suggestion would be to get as many different types of cat toys as you can. Maybe she'll choose one to replace the poo-toy.

i was afraid you were going to say that
did she do it for long? i know it'll vary from cat to cat, but if it's going to be years...

You won't like this

She was about 2 years when she stopped doing it.
But her name isn't Spaz for nothing.
